A list of characters who appear in the Chrestomanci books.

CharactersEdit

  • Asheth - A goddess in Series Ten known for being particularly vengeful and ruthless. She has two aspects: her Divine Aspect, and her Living Aspect, which inhabits a young girl. Appears in The Lives of Christopher Chant.
  • Mr Baslam - A seedy man who makes a living procuring and providing exotic supplies to the less-reputable magic-users living in the shadow of Chrestomanci Castle. Appears in Charmed Life.
  • Chrestomanci - A nine-lived enchanter employed by Parliament to police the use of magic and make sure it isn't misused. Appears in all stories.
  • Christopher Chant - Son of Cosimo and Miranda Chant, later married to Millie with two children, Roger and Julia. Christopher is the Chrestomanci who appears most frequently in the books. Appears in all stories minus "Warlock at the Wheel".
  • Conrad Tesdinic - A young boy from Series Seven from the town of Stallchester, in the English Alps. Titular main character of Conrad's Fate.
  • Ellen Sharp - A Certified Witch who lives downstairs from the Chants in Wolvercote. She takes in Cat and Gwendolen when their parents die in Charmed Life.
  • Euphemia - A maid at Chrestomanci Castle during Christopher Chant's tenure as Chrestomanci. Appears in Charmed Life.
  • Mary - A maid at Chrestomanci Castle during Christopher Chant's tenure as Chrestomanci. Appears in Charmed Life.
  • Mr McLintock - Head gardener at Chrestomanci Castle during Gabriel de Witt's tenure as Chrestomanci.
  • Miranda Chant - Wife of Cosimo Chant, mother of Christopher Chant, and a powerful sorceress. After her husband loses her fortune, Miranda relies on her brother Ralph Argent to restore it. Appears in The Lives of Christopher Chant.
  • William Nostrum - A well-to-do wizard with a practice in Eastbourne who supports his younger brother, Henry. Appears in Charmed Life.
  • Will Suggins - Euphemia's beau, works at a bakery in Helm St. Mary and a member of Chrestomanci's staff. Appears in Charmed Life.
